Details

Each participant may write on a slip of paper a question, and if desired one or two directly-related follow-up questions. (Example: have you ever experienced what you would describe as romantic love? Did you feel the same way in the end as you did at the start of this relationship? What, if anything, changed?).

Each slip will be folded and entered into a bucket. Then we will take turns, each pulling out a slip at random and either responding to the question(s), or optionally once per turn we may trade the slip for a different random slip. If neither draw is a question we wish to answer, we may return the slip to the bucket and pass it to the next participant.

If there is time left after one round, we can start a second round where in the second round we remove the one or two slips we have selected from the bucket, assuring a narrower range of options as the round progresses.

Symptom-free people with negligible blood-alcohol levels and the capacity to listen appreciably to diverse viewpoints are invited to participate. At the end of the meeting, participants will have an opportunity to nominate and vote on the topic for the following meeting.
