Creating Great User Experiences
Details
Hello everyone!
Ario Jafarzadeh (ariomail@gmail.com) will be joining us to present some basic (and a few advanced!) techniques for creating great user interfaces on mobile platforms! This will be a practical course, so feel free to bring laptops and take notes.
Ario is also teaching a 5 part course over at the brand new Makerhaus in Fremont. You can see more details about this course by going to http://makerhaus.com/#classes and clicking on 'Professional Development'. I strongly recommend this course to anyone who is looking at improving their design skills!
About Ario:
He is a user experience designer with 12 years of industry experience from companies like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. He specializes in creating simple, easy to understand experiences that save time for users. Some of his projects include: Gmail, Chrome, and most recently, Amazon Cloud Drive. Having worked in a variety of design environments, he's amassed a variety of practical knowledge that's been difficult to come by in an academic setting. In 2012, he sought to bridge this gap between classroom and workplace with user researcher, Rebecca Destello, by offering a project-based class on user experience at the University of Washington.
As always, dinner and soda will be provided!
Cheers,
--B
