Jazz Jam in Redmond at SoulFood Coffeehouse - 2nd Thursday edition

Come and connect around appreciation of the great Black American art form! The SoulFood Coffeehouse jazz jam is a casual, all-ages gathering, open to the public. Take a turn to share your talents on stage or hang out and listen along.

John Roth will host and play bass, joined by Seth Ahnert on keys and Rob Parks on drums. We'll open with a set of piano trio gems.

Rules of the road for the Soul Food Jazz Jam:
It's a low key, open format session. There's no sign-up list, just be sure to personally introduce yourself to John or raise a hand from the audience. We'll get things started with opening set by the house band, then invite performers to take turns onstage - including rhythm section players. The material tends to be Real Book and American songbook standards. There's a mic available for singers - please bring charts for particular songs and keys.
