Jazz Jam in Redmond at SoulFood Coffeehouse - Last Thursday edition

Come and connect around appreciation of the great Black American art form! The SoulFood Coffeehouse jazz jam is a casual, all-ages gathering, open to the public. Take a turn to share your talents on stage or hang out and listen along.

John Roth will host and play bass with Adam Chmaj on sax, Brad Benefield on guitar, Jonathan Yang on keys, and Doug Kleiber on drums. We'll start with some Halloween treats for the opening set.

Rules of the road for the Soul Food Jazz Jam:
It's a low key, open format session. There's no sign-up list, instead, personally introduce yourself to John or raise a hand from the audience. Following the opening set we'll invite performers to take turns onstage - including rhythm section players. The material tends to be Real Book and American songbook standards. There's a mic available for singers - please bring charts for particular songs and keys.
