Kim Maguire and husband Peter Kahn present jazz and pop-opera concerts in their private garden in Kirkland, WA. The gardens will open for social hour at 4 PM and the show will be from 5 to 7 PM.
Our guest vocalist will be Aaron Shanks, tenor extraordinaire! Pop-opera and more!

This is a BYOB event so bring your favorite libations and snacks. There will be a communal table as well if you wish to bring something to share. Glasses and utensils provided. Tiered seating will be in the shade, all paved, with a great view of the bandstand.
Kim and Peter’s house is in the N. Juanita area of Kirkland.

About Kim:

Kim Maguire has been a professional performer, educator, director, and producer for the past 30 years. A Seattle/Kobe Female Jazz Vocalist finalist, Kim is a mainstay in the vocal Seattle jazz scene. "Joyful jazz" has become a trademark of Kim's shows, with the goal of uplifting her listeners and creating an oasis and sanctuary, away from the hardships of life. A breathing space. Kim's philosophy: Despite the chaos outside, we can always find a way back to ourselves and each other, through music. That “returning home” is why I sing. Kim has been seen on many regional and local stages including Houston Grand Opera, Fifth Ave. Theatre, Benaroya Hall, Village Theatre and Town Hall. Kim has also sung at Seattle Jazz Vespers (concert series), Jackson Street Jazz Walk, Tula's, Egan's Jam House in Ballard, and Boxley’s, among others. The MQ Lounge at Triple Door, Hotel Sorrento, Vito's, and Frederick Holmes "Hot Jazz in the Gallery" concert series.

About Aaron:

Aaron has performed as a professional actor and singer in PNW regional cabarets, concerts, musicals, operas, plays, readings, and recordings or over 30 years. From The Music Man to The Secret Garden, audiences at performing arts houses like the 5th Avenue Theatre, Village Theatre, Seattle Children's Theatre, Benaroya Hall, McCall Hall, the Edmonds Performing Arts Center, and Everett Performing Arts Center have enjoyed his high lyric tenor voice and open-hearted expressiveness.n
