Though not well-known, "Seattle Scatter," a concrete abstracted boat sculpture, could perhaps be considered a quintessential site-specific Seattle piece. Seattle is interlaced with different neighborhoods, water elements and waterways, evoking many possibilities for connection and flow. From where will you look, and in which direction will you travel? Will you captain the vessel, or be part of the crew? And will the voyage be rough or smooth? These are questions to ask yourself when moving onto, through or around this piece.
