Let's learn 18xx train games: 18MS
Details
Have you ever been interested in 18xx train games, but have been put off by their reputation as long, ruthless, and player-unfriendly slogs? Well, the solution is here: 18MS -- The Railroads Come to Mississippi! In this 18xx introductory title, game phases advance automatically, the private auction is simplified, the sharper edges are filed off, and the end of the game will automatically happen after a set amount of time, with all these factors and more making this a perfect introduction to the genre without the barriers to entry that more complex games pose.
The game is fairly complex, so please have some experience with middle-weight or heavier games. No experience is necessary. We will start the game with a full teach if needed. Please bring your phone so you have a calculator (which is helpful but not mandatory for totaling final scores). Best of luck, and maybe you can be the rail baron who creates a route from Chattanooga to Jackson to New Orleans! But remember: the goal is not to have the best-running railroads, it's to end the game with the most money in your personal treasury!
