BLOOD ON THE CLOCKTOWER @ Kangaroo & Kiwi (21+, new players welcome!)
Details
"Believe nothing you hear, and only one half that you see."
During a hellish thunderstorm, a scream echoes through the sleepy town of Ravenswood Bluff. The townsfolk rush to investigate and find the beloved local storyteller has been murdered, their body hanging limp from the clocktower. As blood drips onto the cobblestones below, a realisation slowly dawns… a demon has been unleashed, killing by night and taking on human form by day. Can good find the demon in time? Or will evil overrun this once peaceful town?
A bluffing game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception, with players on opposing teams of Good and Evil, overseen by a devious Storyteller who conducts the action and makes crucial decisions.
Blood on the Clocktower is a medium-complexity team-based hidden role and murder/mystery game involving a mixture of social deduction and logical deduction, in which a Storyteller hosts and moderates the game to ensure a balanced and rewarding experience for all participants.
New players are welcome, and the host is happy to teach if you haven't played before.
This week we'll be playing the Trouble Brewing script, which is the introductory one recommended for new players (but still fun for veterans).
5 - 15 players, plus one Storyteller
60 - 120 minutes expected play time per game, depending on turnout and player familiarity; we may be able to play more than once. Please note we will have a hard stop time of 9:00 PM as the venue has another event scheduled.

A few important details:
- The venue is on Market Street in Ballard; there is paid parking nearby and you can park for free if you're willing to walk a block or two. Alternatively, there's a bus stop (route #44) very close by.
- Kangaroo & Kiwi is a restaurant/pub that serves food and drink! You can check out their menu here -- and just a reminder, if you arrive a few minutes early you can take advantage of their Happy Hour specials! Purchasing something isn't a strict requirement, but it's nice to do since we're being allowed to use the space for free. Please support the business if you can!
- That said, Kangaroo & Kiwi is a pub. Bring your ID!
- I already mentioned it above, but it bears repeating: We need to wrap things up by 9:00 PM at the absolute latest. Preferably closer to 8:45. But it's Friday night, after the game we can stick around for music and drinks!
- I open signups for most of my events 1-3 days before pressing the "announce" button here on Meetup; if you want to know about that when it happens and have the opportunity to claim a seat before others, you can join the Seattle Board Games Discord server, where I'll post to let users there know as soon as RSVPs open!
