What we’re about
This Meetup group exists to publicize several ways for people to learn to play, or expand their knowledge of, the game of Bridge. If you're Bridge-curious, or are looking to learn the game, or are an early player who wants to improve your game, this Meetup group is for you!
Beginning Bridge is a 10-week lesson series that prepares you to play Bridge in a social game or an entry-level competitive game. Cost is $10 per person per week, with discounts for under-25s.
Rookie Duplicate is an entry-level competitive game, held weekly on Tuesday evenings at Seattle Bridge Center. This event is free for players with fewer than 50 ACBL masterpoints; donations are accepted to help offset costs. Spectators are welcome.
Office Hours is an occasional freeform evening to discuss and/or play bridge with your fellow novice and beginner players. Bring your bridge questions, come practice, or just come to watch others play and practice. Cost is $5 per person.
Light snacks are provided at all events.

BridgeWar: Take Your Tricks, Defeat Your Rivals
Bring your friends and bring your family to discover the excitement of partnership card play!
In this hands-on lesson, we will play BridgeWar - a card game that teaches several concepts fundamental to playing the game of Bridge. BridgeWar can also be played online or at home even if you don’t go on to learn Bridge.
Solo? No worries - we’ll match you up with a partner!
Got kids? Most kids age 10 and up have all the skills needed to play this game. If you have curious kids younger than 10, connect with me ahead of time.
If you’ve ever played Bridge in the past, you probably already know more than we’ll learn in this class. Come play to have fun - and maybe take away some ideas for sharing with your bridge-curious friends!

When: Thursday, June 19, 2025, 7pm to 9pm, at Seattle Bridge Center, 1539 NE 145th St, Seattle 98125. We’ll start at 7pm sharp, so please arrive a few minutes early.
Cost: $10 per player ($5 if age 17 or younger). Cash, card, and tap payments accepted.
