What we’re about
Go is an ancient board game with pieces and rules so simple children can play, yet mastery requires great skill.
The objective of Go is merely to control more of the board than your opponent, but this control can only be advanced one stone at a time.
Go offers a variety of strategies, techniques and playing styles with which to approach any given game, ensuring unique match-ups even among equally experienced opponents.
Go also makes it incredibly easy to play fair games, compensating for first move advantage and having a simple handicap system to allow players of differing skill to play evenly against one another.
Put simply, the game is sublime.

Local Meetup for Go players!
Our non-Meetup regulars consist of about 10-15 players of every skill level from first time learners to amateur dan.
Beginners are welcome anytime, but encouraged to arrive promptly so that they can get help before games begin. It also helps to let us know ahead of time if you plan to come.
You can also explore multiple ways to learn the rules on our learn to play page, and once you feel comfortable with the basic mechanics of the game you may want to look at our beginner resources page.
Wednesday evenings not a good time for you? Message us for other options.
