This is one of three Seattle Symphony concerts I will be doing as meetups this music season. We will meet before the concert and during intermission on a Third Tier balcony. Following the concert description and program below, I have written some information on tickets and discounts.

Concert description (from the Symphony):
Andrew Litton conducts the classic Firebird Suite, drawn from the dazzling ballet that shot Stravinsky into the 20th-century classical music pantheon almost overnight. The Seattle Symphony Chorale joins the orchestra for Poulenc's first choral work with orchestra, the 12-movement Stabat Mater — penned in response to the sudden death of his friend. Poulenc was inspired by his pilgrimage to the holy shrine of the Black Madonna of Rocamadour, which reinvigorated his Catholic faith, and the medieval Stabat Mater hymn to the Virgin Mary.

Program:
Maurice Ravel: Le Tombeau de Couperin
Francis Poulenc: Stabat Mater
Igor Stravinsky: The Firebird Suite (1945)

Tickets and discounts:
I recommend buying tickets in a Third Tier box, for lesser price and good acoustics, as well as convenience, as we will be meeting on that floor. You may need to call the Symphony box office, as Third Tier tickets may not be available online, 206-215-4747. I have put links below about the other two concert that will be available as meetups, in case you want to create a personal subscription that includes them. These personal subscriptions have required a minimum of 3-4 concerts in the past.

You can create your very own subscription of 3 to 6 symphony concerts and get a 10-25% discount. Being a member or employee in some organizations, such as the UWAA and King County, may provide a discount. You will need to contact the organization for the discount code. Contact the Symphony box office for more information.
