Please RSVP to secure your spot, and help us get an accurate count on coffee.

Code and Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working session. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Many people (optionally) bring projects to work on, and many other people (optionally) socialize the entire time. It's entirely up to you!

The Intro Circle
Near the beginning of the event (12:30 pm), we do a standup in a circle:

  • We first announce organizer announcements, updates, and logistics

Round 1 - (7 secs max):

  • Your name
  • What do you do?
  • What would you like help with?

Round 2:

  • Job opportunities you're hiring for OR announce that you are looking for one. If none, that's cool.
  • Community events you wanna plug.

After the introduction circle, everything is self-organized. We will have the following workshops in the nearby meeting rooms.

Tech Workshops
We are offering the following workshops after the intro circle. These are free for all and hosted by friends/volunteers at C&C! For this week:

Brag document - by Roman Feldman***:***
Did you remembering list the cool things you did during your annual review? Did you have to look through sent emails/pull requests/wiki pages to refresh your memory? Would you like that process to be smoother this year? Come learn how a brag document can help with that.

Data structures - by Vaishali***:***
A hands-on, interactive session exploring fundamental data structures that power modern computing. Participants will dive into arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, graphs, and hash tables through practical coding exercises. The workshop balances theoretical concepts with real-world applications, helping participants understand when and why to choose specific structures for optimal performance. Perfect for students and professionals looking to strengthen their programming foundation and problem-solving skills. All skill levels welcome! Having a laptop is preferred!

Additionally if you have specialty knowledge you'd like to share, or wish to find an audience for your tech talk, please reach out to any of our volunteers or @ us on discord!

FREE coffee and catering ☕️ + 🥐🥪
There will be free pastries, sandwiches, and hot/iced tea & coffee sponsored by Capital One and provided by Verve Coffee!

🚗 Parking at the Cafe
Free parking is available at the Amazon Houdini Parking Garage, located on Harrison St, two blocks east of the Capital One Cafe. Signs advertising the free parking are usually posted outside the garage entrance. Street parking is also available, and numerous SLU metro/bus stops are nearby.
