Suresh suggested this cookbook. Rather than waiting until he returns from travel, I want you to have opportunity to try out recipes ahead of RSVPs. Please be prepared to let us know what dish, or dishes, you plan to bring when you RSVP.

The spirit, roots, and flavors of regional Mexican cooking come alive in this cookbook from Gonzalo Guzman, head chef at the San Francisco restaurant - Nopalito. Inspired by food straight from the sea and the land, Guzman transforms simple ingredients into bright and flavor-packed dishes.

Nopalito was the 2018 winner of the James Beard Foundation Cookbook Award in the "International" category

Our start time is 7 p.m. I'll be around at least a couple hours prior. If your recipe would be better prepared on site - my home - I have cooking equipment you may be able to use. Please confirm arrangements with me. Your dish should otherwise be ready to serve upon arrival.

If your RSVP includes +1 guest, plan to bring at least two dishes from the cookbook, or double a recipe.

We love welcoming new folks to the group, and ask that you only RSVP if you fully plan to show up. If fate deems you must change your plans, please update your RSVP before the opportunity for other members to join closes. RSVPs close a week prior to the potluck. Please give members on the waitlist time to plan, shop, prep, and cook.

We primarily use comments on the event webpage to communicate, and I will send emails via Meetup. You need to check for those, for the the location, and in case there must be changes to the event. It is helpful if your privacy settings allow direct messages from organizers, in case I need to reach out to you individually to verify your attendance.

When the RSVPs are filled, I will send an email via Meetup and post a comment about it on the event website. If you do not get that email, please help me figure out why. Maybe you don't log in with email. Maybe you get too many Meetup emails and miss it. There is critical information you will miss.

I ask that guests to my home have their true identity in their member profile - a photograph that would identify you and a name you prefer to be called.

The space I can offer to host an event is suitable a small number of people who all have an opportunity to interact. My intent is that each person attending can feel safe and comfortable being themselves.
