10 Year Anniversary Party (For Hosts Only)
Details
The Seattle Cookbook Club is officially 10 years old! Our first event was on October 3, 2015 in our Capitol Hill apartment based on Ottolenghi's Jerusalem cookbook. Since then we've had so many hundreds of delicious dishes with this amazing community and I am so humbled and grateful that this group has been going strong for a decade! I had no idea if anyone would want to do this thing with me, but apparently thousands of people do!
I'd like to celebrate by thanking our event hosts - the real MVPs of the group who open up their homes, get to the park early to lock down the good picnic tables, scope out community spaces, make newcomers feel welcome, serve as food photographers and event administrators keepings the waitlists moving smoothly, find new cookbooks for the rest of us to broaden our palates, and truly keep this group thriving! A huge thank you to everyone who has been a host over the years!
Of course we would be nowhere without our members, but unfortunately we cannot open up our home to the 3000+ of you, or even the 100+ recently active folks, so we hope to see you at future events and to welcome more of you into the event hosts community :).
This event will be keeping with the spirit of the group but with a few adjustments:
- Only event hosts are allowed this time. Join the waitlist and I will let you in.
- There will be dinner. Of course!
- Potluck contributions are optional. If you want to keep your apron off for a change and get wined and dined, just show up and we'll take care of you! But, since I know most of you love to cook I won't forbid contributions - no theme. Please post in the comments if you plan to bring something so I can keep a balanced menu.
- Since it is in our home and space is limited we will not allow +1s to start. Based on RSVPs we may open up for +1s. If your +1 is your cohost, they can come, just shoot me a message or comment and I'll add.
Looking forward to celebrating and to the next 10 years!
