Entering Bizarro World: ICS Security First Impressions

As a new entrant to the ICS world, Bar will present her first impressions and observations, drawing on her past experiences at Microsoft, Premera, and AT&T Wireless to compare and contrast security approaches between ICS and non-ICS environments. She will detail the challenges faced by suppliers like GE who must satisfy the security expectations of many BES customers who are often at different stages of security maturity, and whose NERC CIP 0.13 interpretations around Supply Chain Risk Management are sometime radically different. Bar will go deep on the regulation and how both vendors and BES companies might approach balancing regulatory expectations against cost, compliance, and the right thing to do.
