Welcome to the Seattle dbt Meetup - Spring Edition!

dbt Meetups are networking events open to all folks working with data. Talks predominantly focus on community members' experience with dbt, however, you'll catch presentations on broader topics such as analytics engineering, data stacks, data ops, modeling, testing, and team structures.

Wolfram Shulte, Cofounder, CTO at SDF Labs
Wolfram now Distinguished Software Engineer at dbt Labs, will update us on the SDF Lab's acquisition by dbt Labs and how SDF will accelerate the dbt developer experience. The two teams have been working side-by-side to bring SDF’s SQL comprehension technology into the hands of dbt users everywhere. SDF will be a massive upgrade to the very heart of the dbt user experience moving forward.

Bishal Gupta
Topic: Migrating Stored Procedures to dbt models
Bishal is a Data Science Engineering Tech Lead at DocuSign with over two decades of experience in data analytics and BI solutions.
He introduced dbt-core to DocuSign’s Product Data Science team and led its transition to dbt Cloud as the enterprise data platform. A strong advocate of DRY code, Bishal leverages dbt for building scalable, high-performance data models..

Sundar Subramanyam
Topic: Automating dbt unit tests development with Gen AI
Sundar is a data and analytics veteran with 15+ years of experience in data & analytics space. He is a problem solver at heart, passionate about building scalable data solutions and enabling self-serve analytics to drive business impact. He enjoys connecting the dots between data, technology, and strategy to create meaningful insights.

Mahalakshmi Sridharan
Topic: Automating dbt unit tests development with Gen AI
Mahalakshmi is a Data Engineer at Docusign, where she spends her time building data pipelines in the Azure cloud. In the past, she has worked on 0 to 1 development of highly scalable web APIs
