Lake 22 Hike ( This saturday )

On this trail you will find cascading waterfalls and enormous old-growth trees. The destination is a beautiful lake surrounded with steep walls of granite.

Meet at 7.30 at East gate park and ride underneath overpass.

Distance: 5.5 miles rt.

Elevation gain: 1400ft.

Rating: easy/moderate.

Pace: social.

Plan on stopping for ice cream in Granite Falls on the way back.It is about 50 miles each way and a 1.5 hour drive from the park and ride to the trail head.

Bring some cash to cover the carpool fee. 10 - 15 cents per mile is suggested for riders.

Note: A Forrest Service Pass is required for parking at the trail head.

There might be snow around the lake, please wear good hiking boots and bring plenty of water.
