SFDBC is sending a team to participate in the Dragon Boat Festival in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. After the race, we will tour parts of the Taiwan.

Brief summary of requirements:
a. All ages 12 years old or older
b. Be member of SFDBC ($100/year or $50/year for affiliate members). All paddlers 18 years or younger will have their $100 membership fee waived by SFDBC
c. Attend 6 dragon boat practices before departure (there are 7 available practices a week).
d. Have a passport with at least 1 year validity.

Latest Schedule (Subject to change)
Jun 15 - arrive during the day in Kaohsiung, Official Kaohsiung City Reception Banquet for all Paddlers @6pm
Jun 16 - 1-day city tour of Kaohsiung
Jun 17 - Races for mixed & international qualifiers
Jun 18 - Final Race Day
Jun 19 - Tour starts from Kaohsiung (touring northern part of Taiwan)
Jun 22 - Tour ends in Taipei, Farewell Dinner in Taipei @6p

Race fees are courtesy of Kaohsiung City.

Estimated non-airfare cost is $1100 per person based on twin sharing room i.e. for the hotel (two-person/room), daily meals, transfers, tour, tour guide and driver tips (Jun 15-Jun 22)

Estimated Airfare is about $700 from Vancouver, BC, and about $1100 from Seattle, subject to time of purchase (plan your trip to arrive in Kaohsiung on Jun 15 or earlier, and leave from Taipei late on Jun 22 or 23rd)

There will probably be some additional other minor expenses incurred by the group - eg. racing shirts, gifts for hosts and officials, etc.

Breakfast: Hotel Breakfast, Lunch: Naan Cuisine, Dinner: Jinjia Self-clamping. Hotel: Taichung Star Hotel
JUN 21 (4) Day 7 Hezhong → Shiji Old Street → Shenkeng Stinky Tofu Street → 101 Building → Raohe City → Taipei Hotel
JUN 22 (E) The 8th National Palace Museum → Lunch → Martyr's Shrine → Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall → Ximen Business Circle Free Activities → Taoyuan Airport
