What we’re about
Since one of the most important parts of learning (or maintaining) a language is speaking it, this group's purpose is to gather lovers of French and French culture who want opportunities to practice conversation. Native speakers and learners of all levels are welcome!
We currently have recurring meetups in Kirkland, Northeast Seattle and West Seattle.
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Multilingual Karaoke at Locus WineLocus Wines, Seattle, WA
***No cover, please buy wine or food to support the venue***
If you like to sing in the shower, in your car, or on the street, then come and join us to sing your heart out in the languages that you like. Whether you only know English or you're learning your third language, you're welcome to come sing with us.
The most commonly found language are English, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, French, and Russian. However, everybody is welcome regardless of their singing or linguistic abilities.
Equipment wise, we have a great setup to search up songs, a solid sound system to play songs, and a projector to display lyrics.
***NOTE: This event is being cross-promoted with our friends at Seattle Chinese Learners and Seattle Polyglots. Please RSVP in all places for added visibility.***
- French Board Games at Stoup's Capitol HillStoup Brewing Capitol Hill, Seattle, WA
Bienvenue à notre événement de jeu de société en français ! Si vous cherchez une façon amusante et interactive d'apprendre et de pratiquer votre français, ne manquez pas cette occasion unique.
I'm planning on bringing these games:
* Taboo (French)
* Trivial Pursuit (French)
* Apples to Apples (French)
Please support the venue by buying a beer, lemonade, root beer, or sparkling water.
Some of us will be grabbing dinner nearby at 6pm. There are lots of great restaurants depending on the size of our group, including Korean chicken, Chinese, and Mexican.
NOTE: If you plan to join for dinner, please bring cash or download the Venmo app. This makes splitting the check easier for larger parties.
Please also RSVP on the event posting through Seattle Language & Culture: https://www.meetup.com/seattle-language-culture-meetup/
