Welcome to the Seattle Hiking and Professional Networking Group.

This group is for educated professionals who like outdoor activities, learning, self-development, and networking with like-minded professionals to share the beauty of nature and knowledge.

Im the chief organizer of this hiking group, Grace F.

We’re a community of outdoor enthusiasts, mostly tech workers from Amazon, Microsoft, and other professions, but everyone who loves nature and good company is welcome. We love to explore nature every weekend.

From easy beginner hikes to more challenging routes, if there are beautiful views, we will go there. We mostly hike at a moderate pace, so everyone can enjoy the journey.

I’ve had the privilege of leading this group for the past 7 years, organizing over 350 hikes—without any accidents or injuries. I always do my best to ensure we all have a safe and fun hike. This group has a 4.8 rating out of 5.

Together we can do lots of fun activities for leisure, and our professional growth and development.

Event organizers are volunteers who strive to create safe, well-planned outings. However, hiking and other outdoor activities involve inherent risks, and each participant is responsible for their own safety, preparedness, and conduct.

Please read carefully every activities‘ description before you sign up.

Waiver of Liability: By RSVPing "Yes" to an event or participating in any event, you and your guests acknowledge and accept full responsibility for you and your guests' own health, safety, and well-being. You and your guests agree to hold harmless and not hold the meetup group's organizer, assistant organizers, event organizers, hosts, or any other group members liable for any illness, injury, or mishap that may occur before, during, or after the event. You and your guests are responsible for obtaining all relevant information about the event, making necessary preparations, and ensuring you and your guests' own safety. You and your guests' RSVP of "Yes" or attendance at the event confirms you and your guests understand and accept this liability waiver.

Transportation, Cost-Share, and Liability Policy

​Hike Fee: All hikes are free to attend.

​Transportation Status: Carpooling is voluntary and arranged peer-to-peer. Our drivers are not commercial carriers, and the group does not provide a paid transport service.

​Assumption of Risk: By participating in carpooling, all riders and drivers acknowledge and assume their own risk for any incident that may occur during the transport portion of the event.

​Cost-Share: Riders are expected to reimburse their drivers for direct vehicle expenses (gas, tolls, parking) at a suggested rate determined per event. This is a voluntary cost-share, not a fee for service.

​Group Operating Donation: All Meetup groups are required to pay an annual subscription to Meetup in order to use the platform to post events. Any contribution collected for group operations (e.g. a suggested $10 donation) is a separate, voluntary donation to help cover the group’s operating costs.
