The journey to Greenwater and Echo Lakes unveils stunning trails nestled deep in the wilderness northeast of Mount Rainier, leading adventurers through ancient forests, rushing rivers, and tranquil lakes. From the trailhead, the path winds upstream alongside the Greenwater River, crossing half a dozen bridges before reaching the serene waters of Greenwater Lakes. Beyond this point, the crowds fade and the landscape expands, with the trail ascending toward Echo Lake, revealing breathtaking alpine vistas.

This can be a moderate to challenging trek depending on your ability - not suitable for beginners. The trail is reported to be snow free at this time.

Carpool | Parking Permit
We will meet directly at the trailhead per the schedule above. Hikers can self-organize carpools from any location, as needed. Use the Messaging system and comments below to coordinate rides. A Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Pass is required to park a vehicle at this trailhead. Paved road all the way to the trailhead, suitable for any vehicle.
