Hurricane Hill and Klahhane Ridge - views of Olympics!

Hurricane hill and Klahhane Ridge are two beautiful hikes with Incredible views nearly all the way; The first one is easy and the second one is moderate so we can do both in a day and make it worth the trip!
We will do the Klahhane Ridge hike first and then take a break (maybe to go visitor center) and do the other short hike to hurricane hill after.

We will meet at Mountlake Terrace Park and Ride (Not the Green Lake Park and Ride), in the parking lot (ground level) at 7:15am and carpool to the trailhead at Hurricane Ridge. We will catch the 7:55 am ferry from Edmonds to Kingston

Carpooling
Please carpool to events whenever possible. The high cost of gas and maintaining a vehicle make this a very sensible option for vehicle owners and allows those without a car to get to the events. Please state in your RSVP whether you can offer a ride or need a ride, and where you will be coming from. To promote healthy carpooling culture, NO FREE RIDES PLEASE!

Suggested carpool fees $5/person/hour of driving (for 4+ occupancy), $7/person/hour of driving (for less than 4 occupants). $15 minimum for the trip! For this trip riders should pay $25 for the gas (if 4 occupancy) or $35 (if 3 occupancy) + Additional fees for the ferry and park fees.

Schedule
07:15 AM – Meet at Mountlake Terrace Park and Ride
07:20 AM – Depart for parking lot
07:35 AM – Get to the Edmonds ferry terminal and line up for 7:55 ferry to
08:30 AM – Arrive at Kingston ferry terminal
10:30 AM – Arrive at trailhead parking lot, 47.96995,-123.49517
03:00 PM– finish first hike
03:30 PM – start hurricane hill hike
06:00 PM – back to TH parking lot

After that we will head back to ferry or go somewhere for dinner. This part is optional. Feel free to post any recommendations for dinner places along the way and we can pick one place (most likely we will catch 9:35 PM ferry back). It will be a long day, but we will get views of the whole Olympics and have a great outing!
