Join us for a scenic desert hike along the Yakima Rim Trail! This trail offers stunning canyon views, unique basalt rock formations, and beautiful high desert landscape. This exposed trail is perfect for a cloudy day when Western WA trails would be rainy!.

- Difficulty: Moderate
- Pass Required: Discover Pass
๐ Meeting Points & Times
- 7:00 AM - Green Lake P&R (Main meeting point)
- 7:45 AM - Eastgate P&R (Eastside meetup - self-arranged carpools)
โฐ Schedule
- 7:15 AM - Depart Green Lake P&R
- ~8:45 AM - Pit stop at Cle Elum Safeway (restrooms & snacks)
- ~10:15 AM - Arrive at Yakima Rim Trailhead
- ~10:30 AM - Start hiking
- ~1:00 PM - Snack/Lunch with a view
- ~3:30 PM - Back at trailhead
- ~6:30 PM - Return to Seattle

- 3 riders: $30/person
- 2 riders: $40/person
๐ Essential Gear
- Footwear: Sturdy hiking boots with good traction for rocky terrain
- Layers: Bring warm layers and wind protection - this exposed trail can be windy and cold
- Water: 2-3 liters minimum
- Other: Lunch, snacks, hiking poles

- Eastside Option: Eastside folks can meet at Eastgate P&R at 7:45 AM to self-arrange carpools
- Exposure: This trail has minimal tree cover - perfect for cloudy days but can be windy
