The Beths! Courtney Barnett! Built to Spill! Kasey Chambers! Waxahatchee! The National! The Cave Singers! The Flaming Lips! The Mountain Goats! All of these lovely bands that neither my friends nor my partner have heard of. Heavy sigh.
I moved from Austin, TX a while ago and have yet to find a musical nest. My partner--bless his heart--went to Blitzen Trapper with me, but I can't continually ask him to go hear bands he's not that interested in. I ended up going to The Jayhawks at The Tractor ALONE because my less-than-enthusiastic friend bailed. (Well, she said she hurt her wrist and sent me pics from the ER, but still, I went ALONE.)
I'm looking for folks to go hear music with. Anyone?
