What we’re about
This is a group for anyone interested in any language or world culture. Any level of experience with a language is welcome. Ideally we will have people that:
1. only know one language but are interested in learning their first foreign tongue, or
2. are native speakers of other languages (including English) or
3. people who have mastered (to varying degrees) one or more languages besides his/her native language(i.e. polyglots).
This group is a social group focused on language learning, cultural enrichment and language exchange.
Unsolicited Messages - Writing people on Meetup whom you haven't met is against our policies. Meetup is for meeting people at events. If you receive a message from somebody you haven't met or experience anything that makes you uncomfortable, please let the leadership team know. We want to ensure everyone feels safe, welcome, and comfortable.
Harassment - This group does not tolerate sexual harassment or other forms of harassment. Please do not come to this group expressly looking for a date. If you meet someone you like at an event, that's fine. Please be respectful of any cultural differences.
Discrimination - This group welcomes all language learners and language speakers regardless of nationality, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, etc.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to one of the organizers for assistance.

Bonjour à toutes et à tous! :)
This is a semi-structured conversation group exclusively in French. You should have at least an intermediate level to be able to chat freely with a partner on a wide variety of topics.
The format of the group is as follows:
* simple questions for approximately 5 minutes with groups of 2-3 people
* slightly more complex questions for 5-10 minutes with 2-3 participants per breakout room
* in-depth discussion questions for 10-15 minutes (or longer) with 4-6 partners
This is not a lesson with a presentation or targeted activities, so there is no need to prepare. Sometimes there will be questions and resources shared ahead of the meeting. Feel free to look over those.
