Join us for a scenic hike on Mount Rainier! This is a visually stunning hike right on the side of Mount Rainier! There are lots of wildflowers, Marmots (Alpine Groundhogs), Mountain Goats (potentially), glaciers, and waterfalls!

Depending on time, we may also make a couple quick stops along the windy road through the park at popular spots like Inspiration Point, Reflection Lake, and one or two of the waterfalls.

The hike is 5.5 miles roundtrip and is a 1400 ft gain. However, it is worth noting that this hike starts at an altitude of 5500 ft and peaks at 6900 ft, so please bear that in mind if you have health issues. Nonetheless, it is generally considered an easy-medium hike by Washington standards and we will be going at a somewhat more relaxed pace.

Bring hiking shoes or at least tennis shoes, sunglasses, water, and a sandwich or portable meal!

We'll meet at the Starbucks in the long narrow public parking lot along Westlake Ave! Please coordinate carpools in the comments! Please post if you can drive or if you need a ride!
