Easter Egg Hunt & BYOB Picnic @ Discovery Park!!!

Details

NOTE : This meetup is somewhat tentative depending on the weather.

EDIT : The activity is still on! However, since we are expecting light rain, we will probably keep the picnic as short as possible, and once the easter egg hunt is finished, we'll go to a bar or restaurant to hang out for a bit. Possibly Oddfellows. So I'd recommend scaling down the snacks that you bring.

Join us for an easter egg hunt and picnic to celebrate the Spring weather and your choice of paganism or christianity!

Before and after the easter egg hunt, we'll have a picnic in the giant field by the "soccer ball" radio tower at discovery park. After everyone shows up (11:20), I will hide the eggs while everyone enjoys the picnic, and then we'll begin the hunt.

I will be bringing candy-filled eggs for the hunt! I will shoot for an average of 15 eggs per participant. Please be respectful and careful not to injure yourself or others during the easter egg hunt! In order to make sure that we have the right number of eggs, please do not RSVP unless you are serious about joining, and please try to update your RSVP by Thursday if you need to cancel. Depending on how many RSVPs we get, it would be great if I could get a couple of volunteers to help hide the eggs. This event is not free. Please Venmo me during or after the event. I won't know the exact cost per person until the day of the event, but I am confident that it will fall in the $5 to $10 range.

As for the picnic, I had something pretty casual in mind. I will have a large speaker, a folding table, and a couple picnic blankets, but I wasn't planning on buying catered hot meals. Instead, I was thinking that people could bring simple snacks like pretzels, strawberries, chips, and cookies. This is not a potluck, so please do not bring large heavy platters of cooked food since there will not be enough space on the table, no way to keep it warm, and there will be no plates or silverware. I will bring coolers if people want to bring soft drinks or beer. Also, please bring blankets if you have them! Please dress warm!
