(BYOB) Beach Bonfire @ Golden Gardens!!! (Ballard)

NOTE: I will be doing things a bit differently from last year. I will NOT be catering pizza or sandwiches, and I will not be bringing beer. However, I still need people to Venmo me because I will still be bringing firewood, s'more supplies, and coolers with ice.

Come make a new friend while you enjoy the sunny weather, a tasty, chewy s'more, a sunset from the beach, and the warmth of a bonfire!

I plan on spending about $120 for this bonfire on consumables : Ice, firewood, marshmellows, graham crackers, chocolate, skewers, and firestarters. That cost does not include reusable gear. Please be sure to venmo me $3 to $5 during/after the event so that we can keep these events going! My Venmo handle is @andrew-davidson-26 and my last four digits are 2150.

Please bring your own snacks, but I would recommend bringing snacks or pre-made meals that don't involve plates, utensils, or cooking over the fire pit since things can get messy really quickly.

Please bring your own alcoholic beverages, and bring a cooler with ice if you have one! I would recommending bringing a six pack of individually-sealed bottles or cans if you plan on sharing them with others, as opposed to bottles of wine or liquor. I will bring my own empty coolers with ice as well as bottled water but it wouldn't hurt to have extra coolers. I will not be bringing alcoholic drinks to the events from now on since they were getting mixed with others' drinks and it was hard to tell who should venmo whom.

I will also be bringing a giant music speaker (which will be played at a reasonable volume) with karaoke microphones, three folding tables, 15 folding chairs, a bunch of trash bags, bottle openers, hand sanitizer, paper towels, and two large beach blankets.

Please put trash and ONLY trash in the giant standard plastic trash bags. There are trash bags at the legs of the tables; if one of them is full, use a different one. We have had repeated issues with people putting trash inside of people's non-trash bags and putting people's personal bags in the trash. Please do not assume that something is trash or is a trash bag unless it is a literal trash bag.

The sand at Golden Gardens gets everywhere and is a bit ashy. Do not bring nice shoes! They may get dirty. Also, anything you wear will smell like campfire the next day. I recommend bringing washable clothes.

If the parking lot is full (which it probably will be), I recommend parking on the street leading up to the park! There will be ample parking on the street, but you may need to walk a bit of a distance!

To find us, look for the large white sign with the meetup logo and our name on it! It will be in front of the folding tables.
