Seattle Nature Lovers Book Club - October Meetup

We will meet on Tuesday 10/21 for our first ever Nature Lovers Book Club meetup!

Book we’ll be discussing:
The Overstory by Richard Powers

Where:
Cairde Public House Bar & Restaurant
701 5th Ave N #100, Seattle, WA 98109
Please purchase at least one thing (food, drink, n/a drink, etc.). Consuming alcohol is not required!!

Planned schedule:
6-6:30pm - arrive, get settled, chit chat
6:30-7:45pm - book discussion
7:45-8pm - wrap up, final thoughts, chit chat
May go later depending on the conversation :)

Book overview (from Wikipedia):
The book follows nine Americans whose unique life experiences with trees bring them together to address the destruction of forests. Through interwoven narratives spanning multiple generations, the novel explores themes of environmental activism, the interconnectedness of living things, and humanity's relationship with the natural world.

Rules for meetup:
-Must read the book (at least 50%)
-Respectful attitude
-Interest in nature/ecology
-Must be 21+ (meeting in a bar)
