Clinical Quality Language (CQL)

Details
Sorry for the late-breaking announcement, but we are having a Seattle on FHIR meeting tonight, focusing on the use of CQL to express and evaluate clinical guidelines. CDC has published 12 guidelines for Opioid Prescribing as CQL, making them computable. The data they use are defined as FHIR resources, making them a great example of clinical decision support that can be incorporated into a SMART on FHIR app within an electronic medical record system. AHRQ has developed a sample app that does exactly that (uses CQL to evaluate guidelines for opioid Rx within an EMR). But, the plot thickens... Can we use this as an example of other computable guidelines? What about the WA State opioid Rx rules? I believe Maggie and Pascal (?) will lead us through discussion of CQL, of this use case, and include some cool workshopping/hacking with AHRQ's CQL authoring tool. If we can get it together in time, we hope to have some food...
(please RSVP so we have a food-count)
