Hike: Mt.Si via New Trail
Length: 7.4 miles
Elevation gain: 3150 feet
Note:
minimum required weight for Rainier & Glacier Peak 30 lbs., others 25 lbs. You are welcome to carry more if you like.
baseline pace - 2:15 hrs from TH to the open area right above the treeline (No haystack).

Recommended Gear(not mandatory): carry all your gear, ice-axe, helmet, crampons, layers, gloves, headlamp, water, food as if you're packing for the final climb. Everything except sleeping gear (i.e., sleeping bag, sleeping pad, tent). At the minimum carry following
Clothing:
• Non-cotton synthetic t-shirt / technical Ts / Woolen base layer + T-shirt
• Hiking pant (non-cotton).
• Hiking Shoes / Mountaineering Boots.
• Woolen / synthetic socks.
• At least one jacket (fleece / light puffy).
• Rain Jackets/Pants.
• Gloves, beanie. (Waterproof gloves, carry backup gloves if you do not have waterproof gloves)
What to carry:
• Water (suggest 2 liters min.)
• Headlamps
• Additional weights as suggested in the schedule
• Ten Essentials (If you don’t have some of these for this hike, inform the lead. But these are good to keep and well need them sooner or later)
• Breakfast and lunch to cover long hike, any personal medications.
• Hiking poles
• Trash bag for dirty clothes and shoes
