Permaculture@21 Acres: Rocket Mass Heater Intro & Discussion
Hosted by Seattle Permaculture Meetup
Details
Rocket mass heaters may be the most comfortable, sustainable, and inexpensive heating option for a conventional home. They produce no smoke or creosote, create less CO2 than natural gas fireplaces, and users report heating their homes using one-quarter to one-tenth the fuel of conventional wood stoves. Additionally, rocket mass heaters require less time and effort to operate or maintain that regular wood stoves and provide long-lasting heat. These heaters provide the most comfortable and sustainable form of heating we’ve ever seen, and can be inexpensively built by your average do-it-yourselfer.
Join 21 Acres’ very own Tyler Morrison, for an explanation, including modeling, and discussion about the inner-workings of a rocket mass heater and how you might incorporate one into your permaculture design. Arrive at 6:30 for Networking and Introductions. The Rocket Mass Heater Introduction and Discussion will begin promptly at 7:00pm.
