What we’re about
This is a group for people who love to learn and speak multiple foreign languages. We meet in spaces like cafés and parks to practice our languages, discuss techniques, and support each other in our language goals. There is no formal structure. We just chat with each other, often switching between languages that we can all use.
Sometimes we play the "polyglot game" or attempt to teach each other languages we are learning. This group is ideal for language geeks. People from all language backgrounds are welcome to join. This group is a social group focused on language learning, cultural enrichment and language exchange.
Unsolicited Messages - Writing people on Meetup whom you haven't met is against our policies. Meetup is for meeting people at events. If you receive a message from somebody you haven't met or experience anything that makes you uncomfortable, please let the leadership team know. We want to ensure everyone feels safe, welcome, and comfortable.
Harassment - This group does not tolerate sexual harassment or other forms of harassment. Please do not come to this group expressly looking for a date. If you meet someone you like at an event, that's fine. Please be respectful of any cultural differences.
Discrimination - This group welcomes all language learners and language speakers regardless of nationality, race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, etc.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to one of the organizers for assistance.
