Join us for a fast-paced evening of lightning talks exploring the intersection of Postgres and Python! Whether you’re a Pythonista curious about getting more out of Postgres, or a database enthusiast looking to sharpen your Python skills, this meetup is a great chance to learn, connect, and spark new ideas.

Additionally, we will kick off the evening with special guest **German Eichberger** \- visiting from San Diego \- who will give a short introduction to DocumentDB\. This is a MongoDB compatible open source document database built on PostgreSQL\, which recently joined the Linux Foundation with support from a wide array of companies\.

**German Eichberger**, MSc, is a Principal Software Engineering Manager with Microsoft on the Azure DocumentDB team. He was an Apache Cassandra Catalyst and has given talks on Cassandra. Previously, he was an architect on Rackspace’s Kubernetes team and led Hewlett-Packard’s Cloud Advanced Networking Team and was a core reviewer and contributor to many OpenStack projects. German has given talk at major conferences and teaches computer topics at University of California San Diego Extension.

**Andrew Schell** is a data leader who transforms how organizations leverage their data assets - from struggling with siloed information to becoming data-driven industry innovators. Currently serving as Fractional Chief Data Officer and Bottlewasher at Madd Kitchen, he is building personalized, AI-powered dining and entertainment experiences. He is also a longtime mentor with the Puget Sound Python Users Group and the founder of Your Data Talking, where he helps organizations modernize infrastructure and unlock new revenue streams.

**Eric Lendvai** is a Senior Principal Software Architect at Deltek who has been developing applications and architecting databases for over 30 years. He has worked with a wide variety of programming languages, backend data stores and operating systems. He is also the maintainer of DataWharf, an open-source data modeling web based tool.

**Harry Pierson** is a seasoned software architect and engineer with over 30 years in the IT industry. He spent 20 years at Microsoft in various roles, pioneering technical evangelism and focusing on developer experiences. Today, he's an engineer at DBOS, working on their mission to dramatically simplify the way cloud applications are built, deployed, and secured. Outside of work, Harry is a husband and father, a beer league hockey player and an amateur powerlifter.
