Seattle PQC Sessions: NIST's 2027 Candidate, Hamming Quasi-Cyclic Codes
Details
Join us at Ada's Lab to learn about the cryptanalysis and security of Hamming Quasi Cyclic Codes. HQC is a NIST candidate for PQC (https://pqc-hqc.org/) which enables public key encryption and key encapsulation and ensures that NIST has a non-lattice option.
This will be a catered event with food🍔 and drinks 🥃 available. Join us at 5:30 to socialize until roughly 6:30 and then we plan to wrap up before 8:00!
Honorable Guest Professor Paulo L. Barretto from the University of Washington is one of the coauthors of the protocol and will deliver a lecture.
Our second speaker is Pete Rigas. Their talk will discuss some of the underlying theory for CSS code security boundaries as well as their application to reverse reconciliation protocols.
