Quantum Computing Social + iQuHACK Chat
Come out to talk anything and all things quantum computing.
If you're interested, there is still time to apply to join MIT's iQuHACK, as a remote attendee.
Via iQuHACK you can remotely listen to academic and industry talks, as well as work on a Hackathon prompt provided by one of the sponsors. Either part is optional; i.e. you can just listen to talks, you can just focus on the hackathon, or you can do both!
This year's sponsors are:
NVIDIA, QuEra, IONQ, Superquantum, Alice and Bob, IQM, Quantum Rings, Nord Quantique, Classiq, BlueQubit, qBraid, and a variety of MIT departments. Some of the company sponsors will each provide a hackathon challenge for remote participants.
Anyone interested in quantum can feel free to attend this social event, and any chit-chat about iQuHACK is optional.
If you work at one of the sponsoring companies, feel free to come and generate enthusiasm for iQuHACK. The prompts won't yet be revealed. If you're interested in working on a prompt, feel free to come and see if anyone else might be interested in forming a team. We can use the SQCM Discord to communicate with each other. No decisions would need to be made at this social event.
If you want to participate in iQuHACK, you must apply with MIT via their website (link above) in order to enter the iQuHACK event, which starts on Jan 30 and ends on Feb 1. They have not posted a deadline for a remote application, but usually with things, sooner is better than later.
Hope to see y'all soon!
