About us
Seattle Queer Outdoors is a new community for LGBTQ+ individuals in the Seattle and greater Puget Sound area who love getting outside. Whether you are trying to go hiking, rock climbing, skiing/snowboarding, or gearing up for a summit push, this is a space to connect with fellow queer outdoor enthusiasts.
What We Do
We organize trips and meetups across the Pacific Northwest, focusing on:
- Hiking & Backpacking: from casual local trails to multi-day alpine traverses.
- Rock Climbing: Indoor climbing meetups, outdoor crag days, and skill-building sessions.
- Backcountry Skiing & Splitboarding: climbing mountains and volcanos with skis and splitboards.
- Mountaineering & Alpine Travel: Glacier and snow travel, big mountains like Shuksan and Mt Rainer.
