Convoy is hosting our May meetup at their downtown location. We have a fantastic lineup of speakers, so come join us for some food and great talks!
=== Presentations ===
James Reggio, Convoy
Topic: Next.js without the DevOps
Description: With frameworks like Next.js, server rendering has never been easier. Its benefits for SEO and performance are well known, but they come with one significant cost: another service to maintain. At Convoy, we developed a way to deploy our first Next.js apps without introducing a new single point of failure. This talk will cover our solution, and speak to some other infrastructure we’ve built to productionize it.
Jonathan Stanton, Convoy
Topic: Build, Test, and Deploy of a React Native App
Description: A discussion of Convoy's mobile team's successes, failures, and philosophy of our build, test & deploy that have enabled us to move quickly, and grow all while raising the bar on overall quality!
Topic: Updating create-react-app
Description: The create-react-app team has been adding features over time. That begs the question, what is the best way to keep your create-react-app up to date?
A common approach is to rev the react version. However, you might be missing out on some goodies added after you created your app.
- I will walk through using create-react-app-updater to update a create-react-app.
- Show off some of the features that older create-react-apps might be missing.
Topic: Forcing Myself to Write Unit Tests
