On sNOV.15, the JMR company sent official corporate recovery teams onto the Bolero to recover time-devices and extract any survivors. The operation went bad; none of the recovery teams extracted.
In order to save their research (if not their employees), JMR elects to declare “open season” starting sDEC.01. They contract freelance crews to recover time-devices inside. These freelancers include both the players’ crew and other scavengers.
There are five time-devices that JMR knows about: gates, pagers, periscopes, safes, and wristwatches. JMR pays handsomely for each, and unsubtly hints that there may be other valuables they’ll pay for, too, though they don’t exactly know what. The briefing does specify, however, that all devices are unstable prototypes and should not be used.
Finally, JMR warns the crew that on sDEC.31, regardless of who or what remains onboard, the Samazeuilh will destroy the Bolero. If the crew isn’t off-station, they’ll be annihilated.
This is a One-Shot Module for Mothership, a scifi-horror game about playing a crew attempting to survive the cold, enigmatic depths of outer space, with mechanics that take inspiration from Old-School Revival.
This is a beginner-friendly game, Players only need to bring their dice and a pencil.
Character sheets will be provided, and character creation will be done at the table.
