[Mutants & Masterminds 3E] Emerald City Knights

Details

The loud, heart-stopping sounds of an explosion and shattering glass along with the accompanying shock strike you all without warning. Within moments, a strange cloud of silvery mist blankets the surrounding area. Just as panic and flight are about to take hold, the cloud begins to swirl without any evident prompting from the wind. It whips itself into a cyclonic mass, discharging what appear to be bolts of bluish lightning both within itself and outward around its immediate vicinity.

Both blast and bolts subside and begin to dissipate before anyone can arrive on the scene, leaving the dead and injured as the most immediate concern. The fleeing, panicked crowds and hopelessly jammed roads make you all the only first-responders available for the critically injured now.

The explosion tears Emerald City’s facade of normalcy and unleashes a flood of dangerous super-criminals and monsters. This one incident upsets the delicate balance and changes everything.

Criminal masterminds cast aside years of fragile peace, ready to go to war to settle old scores and claim the throne of the city’s underworld. Up-and-coming stormers, drunk with power, are ready to take what they want. Secrets and strange things stir in the shadows, and a terrible threat to the entire world looms in the depths. Emerald City, your home, becomes a city in crisis.

It’s a city that needs heroes.

Emerald City Knights is a modified One-Shot Module for Mutants & Masterminds Third Edition, a game about taking on the roles of super-powered heroes in a world of paranormal terrorists, destructive brutes, and other insidious villains while navigating the mundanities of your alter-ego life.

This game will be beginner-friendly, players only need to bring pencils and dice.

Pregenerated characters will be provided, however, if you want to play your own custom character, send a copy of your character sheet to me for review before Noon on the Friday of August 8

The event will be hosted in a rented private conference room, Players may bring their own food/beverage but are expected to be respectful of the space and clean up after themselves.

Feel free to sign-up even if it puts you on the Waitlist, in my expierence there's usually two or three people who drop-out before the start of the event, usually at the eleventh-hour, and I prefer to have a full table over empty slots.
