Gaslands: Crash Out 💀 Ignition

Welcome to the Death Race. The trillionaires look down from Mars laughing, enjoying the debasement of the poors on the blasted earth below. Down here on the ground, we race for glory, for money, maybe even for ourselves.

Welcome, drivers, let us ride historic amongst the smoke and guzzoline fumes. This will be the first play of Gaslands: Crash Out, a TTRPG I made to play alongside the Gaslands minitures wargame. We will meet our drivers, drive our custom-tooled civilian-cars-made-death-machines, and Crash Out spectacularly.

As with any event I run, you are not required to bring anything and no prior experience or knowledge is required to play. We will learn the "complex" wargame parts as we play. There are a few less narrative guard rails here, so it might be best suited to intermediate or advanced role players, but if you are willing to dive in and be excited for other people as well as yourself, we would be happy to have you and I'm sure you'll have a blast no matter your experience!

Logistics
I am planning on hosting in my building's ominous concrete underbelly a few hundred feet from the music venue Chop Suey. Once you arrive at the venue, follow the skulls to be guided to the event! Refreshments will be provided, and any spare bucks you wanna pitch in would be appreciated but are not required.

Feel free to sign-up even if it puts you on the Waitlist, as there's often a few folks who drop-out before the start of the event, and you can message me (or the Seattle RPG Variety Society Discord) if the Meetup group is full but you still want in or you have more questions!

Content Warnings
Like the death-race stories it was inspired by, this might be some of the most content-warning intensive TTRPGs I run. Viewer discretion is advised.

All Games Will Likely Include: Intense violence, blood and gore, vehicular malfeasance, player characters in conflict with one another, self harm, substance use, and other forms of people handling distress destructively.

Playbooks Can Include Themes Of: Perfectionism, Bullying, Bad Comedy, Personality Cults, Small-Business-Owner-Brain-Rot, Depersonalization, Naivety, Binge Eating, Loss of Agency, Bragging, False Stoicism, Black and White Thinking, Cruelty, Self Denial, Despair, Poverty
