Important Edit: The original date of the event was Sunday the 25th but has been rescheduled to the 24th, samee

Important: Please read all the way through to the end before RSVP'ing. I use the Seattle RPG Variety Society Discord group to confirm and communicate with all people who have RSVP'ed. I will remove you from the attendees list if I can't get a confirmation from you there.

If this session is full, please join the waitlist. In our experience, there is always someone who drops out the day before and/or the day of.

What This Event Is:

Daggerheart is a tabletop role playing game (TTRPG) set in a heroic high fantasy environment. It is similar to Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) but with a different set of mechanics that try to create a more narrative-focused and cinematic experience. You'll play a member of a adventuring party along with others at the table and react to the world created by the game master (GM).

This session is an intro-friendly Daggerheart one-shot, using the official QuickStart adventure: The Sablewood Messengers.

The table is designed for new players, but players with prior Daggerheart experience are absolutely welcome—especially if you enjoy helping set tone, modeling play, or just want a relaxed one-shot.
• Characters are premade
• No prep required
• No equipment needed
• No prior Daggerheart, D&D, or any TTRPG experience required

What to Expect at the Table:

• A lighthearted fantasy adventure built to teach the core mechanics through play
• Clear rules explanations as they come up
• A collaborative table where questions are encouraged
• Gentle encouragement to roleplay your character (speaking or acting in character when you’re comfortable)

Session Length & Timing:

• Planned length: ~3 to 3.5 hours with a break in the middle
• Venue opens at 2:00. I will be there about that time setting up
• The session should end by 5:30 and no later than 5:45
• Please plan to arrive by 2:15 and plan to stay for the full time as late arrivals and early departures directly affects the experience of everyone else playing
• I will be leaving this event and going directly to the Seattle RPG Variety Socity 1-year anniversary party at Temu Tavern (virtually door to door using the 8 bus). That event is open to everyone and a great place to meet other people who like to play TTRPGs in Seattle.

What to Bring:

Nothing at all.
Just show up ready to play.

Safety & Table Expectations:
• 21+ table
• LGBTQ+ friendly
• We’ll use standard safety tools, including the X-Card
• The goal is shared fun and collaborative storytelling
