August 2024 SRUG Meeting Agenda:

Live-Coding Presentation(s) Targeting Rust Beginners!
More than half our our attendees consider themselves Rust beginners. I think it's important to have a steady stream of material suitable for this large contingent of people. We're kicking this off with an entire Meetup dedicated to beginner-selected Rust topics.

What about the Hands-On Bare-Metal Embedded Meetings?
As planned, we did three (Feb., Apr. and Jun.) every other month so far this year. I am happy to continue them if there is interest. We'll discuss topics & cadence at the August meeting. Anyone willing to lead a session will be welcome to present as well.

Talks:
* Introduction to Locks (continuation of July "cliffhanger" talk):
We'll discuss the Introduction to Locks "cliffhanger" opener from the end of July's meeting where our `for` loops were losing 70-90% of the data they were supposed to capture. Why did we lose data and what can we do about it?

We received a rich bounty of beginner talk suggestions from members in July. Would some like to present one of them to the group?
