September's Seattle Sequencing Interest Group Meeting

Our speakers for the evening will be Tony Dodge and Jason Smith from Ion Torrent and Lara Mangravite of Sage Bionetworks.

Jason and Tony's talk is titled " Next Generation Sequencing with Ion Torrent." Tony will provide an overview of the current instrumentation and methods and Jason will discuss the bioinformatics associated with the instrument.

Laura's talk is titled " Sage Bionetworks Synapse Commons: A resource for community-based genomic analysis". Lara will outline the efforts at Sage Bionetworks to develop an open commute space for end user scientists to interact and share data, models and analysis method, both in the context of specific research projects, and broadly across otherwise disparate projects.
