We are taking the fun outside with this easy day hike around the Discovery Park Loop Trail! Join us - all skill levels are welcome from seasoned hikers to novice hikers no one left behind. The Discovery Park Loop Trail is 2.8 miles long with an elevation gain up to 325 feet. It passes through both forest and open meadows, offers extensive views and a treat for bird watchers.
We will meet in the North parking lot at 10am to begin our hike. We will stop along the beach trail where we will have a snack chit chat and recharge. Bring plenty of water and snacks.
North Parking Lot directions:
The North Parking Lot can be reached via Texas Way, a right turn off Government Way just inside the east park boundary. An alternative approach is via W Commodore Way, with a sharp left turn onto 40th Ave W followed by a right turn onto Texas Way. For directions via Google maps enter “Discovery Park North Parking Lot” in the search bar.
