Details

Today, we will explore the Sammamish River, along with two brand new Light Rail Stations.

We will begin at downtown Redmond Station. We will meet at 9:30 and start walking at 9:40 to ride bus route 221 (9:58 departure from Redmond Transit Center) a short distance up Education Hill to the start of our walk. After getting off the bus, we will walk the Powerline Trail down to the Sammamish River Trail, then take the Sammamish River Trail through Redmond and onto Marymoor Park, with a brief diversion up and down a section of the Bridlecrest Trail. After arriving at Marymoor Park, we will have lunch at a picnic table, then walk through the off-leash dog area along the river, then head to the park's northeast entrance. The walk finishes at Marymoor Village Station, where we can take the train either back to Redmond where we started, or in the other direction to Overlake and Bellevue.
