Mt. Baker, Mercer Island, and 2 new Light Rail Stations

Today, we will celebrate the grand opening of 2-line finally traveling across Lake Washington with two mini hikes in one.
We will begin at the 23rd Ave. entrance of Judkins Park Station with a walk towards the water through the Mt. Baker neighborhood. After the first walk, we will hop on the train to Mercer Island and do a second walk through Luther Burbank Park, around that station.
Exact routes to be determined, but expect a total of around 6-7 miles, with most of the distance and elevation on the Mt. Baker side. Expect many views of Lake Washington along both walks, plus the train ride between them. We will have a picnic lunch on Mercer Island at a section of the park with a view of the lake.
*** Location note: We are meeting at the 23rd Ave. entrance to Judkins Park Station. Do not go to the other station entrance on Rainier Ave. We will not be there.
