Today, we will explore highlights of West Seattle, including Lincoln Park, Alaska Junction, Schmitz Park, and Alki Beach.

We will begin the walk at Lincoln Park, at the parking lot, across from the bus stops at Rose St. (While parking is available, it is best to take the RapidRide C bus from downtown to the starting point, as our hike will be ending up in a different place). We will walk through Lincoln Park and Solstice Park, then take the C-line line back up to West Seattle Junction for the second part of the walk, where we will head northwest to Schmitz Park and Alki Beach, then follow the Alki Beach Trail to Seacrest Part. We will finish our trip with a ride on the Water Taxi over Elliott Bay to Downtown Seattle.

Part 1 (~1.5 miles meandering through Lincoln Park)

Total distance: 6.8 miles

We will have a picnic lunch at a suitable point on the walk. You can either bring food, or you can order it from one of the many restaurants near West Seattle Junction, and pick up the food as we swing by.

At the end of the hike, the water taxi ends up in downtown Seattle. Those needing a ride back to the start point can catch the RapidRide C bus after getting off the water taxi, back to Lincoln Park.
