Meetup folks crave Iceland! We’ve taken 2 groups for last 2 years in a row. Now, we’re returning in search of adventure… and the NORTHERN LIGHTS!
Welcome to the world’s hottest travel destination…Iceland, the ‘Land of Fire & Ice’! Experience the highlights and stunning natural beauty of Western and Southern Iceland including: the Golden Circle, waterfalls, geysers, glaciers, black sand beaches, natural hot baths, and much more. Go glacier trekking, explore ice caves and lava tubes, soak in natural hot baths. This late-winter/early spring departure’s temps will range from 30 – 40 degrees, but also give us good chances for Northern Lights viewing. Note, travelers will need to depart USA on Mar 6 in order to arrive on Mar 7.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
• All passengers must be fully COVID vaccinated.
• US Passport is required. (No visa needed).
• Getting there: Fly into and out of Keflavik (Reykjavik).

• Weather: March is late winter / early spring in Iceland. Temps will average 30 – 40. Jan, Feb, and March are the ideal months for Northern Lights. March allows for way more daylight to explore and do adventure activities. *These departure dates were picked to specifically coincide with the darkest phase of the moon!

• Activity Level, Moderate: Full, active days. Beginners are welcome on all glacier trek, ice cave, lava tunnel activities. Minimum age is 14. Each day, will also encompass 3 1/2 – 4 1/2 hours of driving.

• Travel Organization: This Meetup Adventure Tour has been planned by Joe Staiano. In addition to being a Meetup Organizer and Co-organizer for 8+ years, Joe is a tourism professional with 25 years experience. He spent 10 years organizing and planning adventure trips for REI Adventures. Joe is owner of Meaningful Trips travel company and has a Seller of Travel Permit for Washington State. Tours are planned in partnership with high-quality, local international tour providers who adhere to all COVID safety and hygiene guidelines and provide all accommodations, services and English-speaking guides.
