Apr 2025 meetup - happy 1st bday to Valkey

We will be celebrating Valkey 1st b-day. Valkey launched on March 28th, 2024.

We also have three exciting presentations

• Introducing valkey-json (https://github.com/valkey-io/valkey-json) by Roshan Khatri (Amazon SDE)
• Refactor of ActiveDefrag to reduce latencies (https://github.com/valkey-io/valkey/pull/1242) by Jim Brunner. Jim is part of the AWS ElastiCache team, and has been working directly with Redis & Valkey for over 6 years.
• New features in Valkey Rust SDK https://github.com/valkey-io/valkeymodule-rs. We introduced/improved support for filters, client, defrag, bindings for Valkey APIs and several more features. Dmitry Polyakovsky, OCI Cache Tech Lead.

Event will be in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Seattle office 1301 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98101. 11th floor. There will be people in the lobby to escort you.

There is parking across the street either in Republic Parking at 2nd and Union or you can park in the building from 5-8 for $10
